George E. Eiber Elementary serves a diverse community.
With a mobility rate of 44%, many Eiber families move in and out of our attendance area over the course of the school year. Others stay with us Kindergarten through 6th grade.
25% of our students have a language background other than English. 90% of those students speak Spanish as their first language.
Presently, over 90% of our students qualify for either a free or reduced lunch rate.
Academic Programs for Diverse Needs
Eiber's programs are correspondingly diverse and include a One Way Dual Language Program. We are also working hard to become known for our innovative Math Program. Challenging academics are a part of all subjects.
Parent Resources
We know parents work hard to give their children every opportunity they can. We also recognize that families can find themselves in struggling circumstances.
Eiber seeks to support families in need by connecting them with district, county, state, and non-profit resources and information.
Shared Leadership
At Eiber, we believe leadership is a responsibility shared between stakeholders. Only by working together can we ensure the success of our students.
Through a school improvement process known as Success in Sight, staff at Eiber works collaboratively to implement additional school improvement initiatives. Many are aimed at refining our instructional practices, using data to drive our instruction, and reaching out to our community. In January 2012, Eiber's school improvement efforts were highlighted in the journal Educational Leadership.
